Albert Bridge Weight Restriction Amendment
Overview
This consultation seeks views on the proposal that the existing ban on vehicles weighing more than 3 tonnes maximum gross weight from proceeding over Albert Bridge and in the approach road on its north side between Albert Bridge and Chelsea Embankment should only apply to goods vehicles and not to all vehicles.

Anyone wishing to support or object to this proposal or make any other representations in respect of it, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Council to trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk quoting reference “Albert Bridge - Weight Restriction” by 11 June 2025. The Director for Highway and Regulatory Services will consider all the comments received, in consultation with Chelsea Riverside Ward Councillors and the Lead Member for Planning and Public Realm, before deciding on whether to proceed. We will advise you of the decision after the consultation is over and the decision has been taken by the Director.
