Shape the future of Public Participation - Have your say on the Council's commitments on local involvement

Closes 23 Jun 2025

Opened 31 Mar 2025

Overview

As part of the Grenfell Inquiry Report commitments, we're reviewing the Charter for Public Participation this year with our residents to update the Council's promises to public involvement.

This matters because the Charter is part of the Council's constitution, it animates how we involve local people, and the quality of decisions we make together with our residents.

A copy of our current Charter is here. This was originally co-written with local people including ward councillors, in 2019.

Why your views matter

Now more than ever, the Council wants to work in partnership with residents to shape services. To inform the updated Charter, we want to ask you some questions to understand a bit about your involvement locally, your attitudes to influencing local decision-making, and how can we do better in our dealings and communication with you around public involvement.

If you would like a copy of the survey in another language or format, please email Daniel Betts (Governance Services) or call 07814 361723 from Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

Thank you for taking part - answering the survey should take between 5-7 minutes. Results from this consultation will be used to assess the updates required to the Charter which will be made later on this year. We will keep you updated with the consultation findings and next steps if you are happy to be contacted afterwards.
