Overview

The general effect of the Orders will be on an experimental basis to:

  • Prevent all motor vehicles, other than motorcycles, from entering the length of Elystan Street that lies between the south-eastern kerb-line of Whitehead’s Grove and the north-western kerb-line of Elystan Place
  • Suspend the permit parking place on the north-east side of Elystan Street, in the length of street specified above
  • Provide ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in Elystan Street on the north-east side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Whitehead’s Grove and the northern kerb-line of Elystan Place; and on the south-west side between the south-eastern kerb-line of Whitehead’s Grove and a point 3.5 metres south-east of that kerb-line; and between the northern kerb-line of Elystan Place and a point 6 metres north-west of that kerb-line.

Note: In the part of Elystan Street specified in first bullet point above: The one-way system will continue to apply to motorcycles, access to the cycle hire docking station and the visitor motorcycle bay will be maintained and access for Emergency vehicles and the Council’s waste collection and cleaning vehicles will also be maintained.
