Feedback updated 5 Sep 2022
We asked
We asked for views on the experimental introduction of provisions necessary for the provision of electric scooter parking places and to provide an electric scooter parking place in Kensington Park Road, Talbot Road and Walmer Road.
You said
We had two objections to the experimental order.
We did
We did not make experimental traffic order permanent, but the restrictions within it were made permanent via permanent order changes which were consulted on separately. The attached report provides details of the Council’s response to the issues raised in the two objections received to the experimental order.

Overview
On an experimental basis, the Council has introduced e-scooter parking places in the carriageway in the following locations:
- Kensington Park Road, in the centre of the carriageway, adjacent to the flank wall of No. 2 Horbury Crescent, having a length of 5 metres and a width of 2.5 metres
- Talbot Road, on the south-east side, outside Nos. 105/107 and No. 109 Talbot Road, by removing a 5.2-metre pay on-street parking place
- Walmer Road, on the south-west side, adjacent to No. 31 Kenley Walk, by replacing 5 metres of single yellow line waiting restrictions.
