Overview

In October 2022, the Council made a traffic order that exempted cycles from part of the one-way traffic order in Gilston Road, between its junctions with Priory Walk and Park Walk. After this order was made, the Council received representations from a residents’ association about the safety of the proposal.

At the request of the Lead Member for Planning, Place and Environment, the Council no longer wishes to implement this scheme. It was agreed that an alternative enhanced level of provision be included in a proposed upgrade to Hollywood Road currently in development.
