Overview
Kensington and Chelsea is home to the world-famous Portobello and Golborne Market plus a range of other fantastic food, flowers, crafts and clothes markets. To ensure that markets in the borough get the support needed, we are keen to hear views on a range of potential proposals which outline new initiatives to enable markets to thrive. The Markets Plan consultation gives traders, visitors, local businesses and the community a chance to have a say and shape a new Markets Plan for 2021-2026.
Why your views matter
It’s vital that we get the views of both traders and the wider community (including residents, visitors, and local businesses) to make sure that the Markets Plan addresses the needs and ideas of everyone who lives or works around markets. This will help us to look at all aspects of markets in the borough such as how to improve the way they operate, support for traders, best practice, visitors’ experience and making sure that they continue to offer a vital resource to the community.
