Traffic Order S330 - Holland Park

Closed 23 Feb 2022

Opened 12 Jan 2022

Overview

Following a request from residents, the Council has approved a Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy bid for secure cycle parking. Residents living in flats experience particular difficulty storing bicycles at home and much existing cycle parking on-street does not offer high levels of security. The proposal is to introduce one secure cycle hangar unit at the northern end of the residents’ bay outside No. 35 Holland Park.

Each on-street cycle hangar unit provides space for six residents’ bicycles. The spaces are rentable at a cost of £72 per year and would be available for rent on a first come, first served basis.

Why your views matter

We are seeking your views on conversion of 3 metres (10ft) of residents’ parking to a cycle hangar bay at the northern end of the residents’ bay outside No. 35 Holland Park. This area will accommodate an on-street cycle hangar unit. Your comments will help us decide whether to proceed with the proposals as planned.

The section of residents’ parking is approximately 18 metres (59ft) long - enough for three cars. Shortening the bay by 3 metres (10ft) would leave 15 metres (49ft) remaining which would still allow parking for three cars.
