Overview

In June 2020, the Council became one of the first London boroughs to take part in a trial of rental e-scooters. Since then, the Council wishes to provide additional parking capacity for rental e-scooters as we seek to meet demand and provide better coverage across the borough.

The proposal is to convert Car Club bay (No. 215) - which is no longer required by the operator - to a parking bay for e-scooter or dockless bicycle hire. The proposed bay is on the north side of Courtfield Road, approximately four metres (13ft) north-east of its junction with Ashburn Place. The inclusion of dockless cycle hire anticipates future legislation intended to control where they may be parked. The bay would be marked with white paint.
