Traffic Order S465 - Cambridge Gardens
Overview
Following a request from residents for secure cycle parking the Council is consulting on introduction of a cycle hangar in Cambridge Gardens. Residents living in flats experience particular difficulty storing bicycles at home and much existing cycle parking on-street does not offer high levels of security. The proposal is to introduce one secure cycle hangar unit outside No. 105 Cambridge Gardens.
Each on-street cycle hangar unit provides space for six residents’ bicycles. The spaces are rentable at a cost of £72 per year (with a £25 refundable key deposit) and would be available for rent on a first come, first served basis.

Why your views matter
We are seeking your views on converting a disabled parking bay, that is no longer needed, to a cycle hangar bay and residents' parking. The full proposals are below:
- Conversion of three metres (10ft) of personalised disabled bay No. 682 to a cycle hangar bay outside No. 105 Cambridge Gardens. This would be the westernmost three metres of this personalised disabled bay, adjacent to the double yellow lines. This area will accommodate an on-street cycle hangar unit.
- Conversion of 3.7 metres (12ft) of personalised disabled bay No. 682 to residents’ parking outside No. 105 Cambridge Gardens. This would be the easternmost three metres of this personalised disabled bay.
Your comments will help us decide whether to proceed with the proposals as planned.
