Housing Management- Aids and Adaptations Policy
Overview
We want all our residents to be able to access equipment and modifications needed to enhance their living conditions and whilst maintaining their independence. This policy outlines the Council's approach to ensuring all residents have access to accommodations that are both suitable and accessible to their needs. The policy covers the provision of equipment and modifications designed to improve accessibility and support independent living. These adaptations range from minor adaptations such as handrails and ramps to major alterations like stairlifts, through-floor lifts, and level access shower and could be for children or adults.
