For your views on the cleaning services in Council housing estates, and sought the involvement of residents in helping to determine the future service provision for next year.

The Review involved over 780 residents who took part in our survey, and led by a Residents steering Group which endorsed our recommendation to return the service in-house from October 2021.
We did
A decision has been made to return the service in-house and amalgamate caretaking & cleaning into one role.
Overview
The Council’s cleaning contract with OCS Services Ltd is due for review before the five-year term ends in September 2021. The Housing Management service will be reviewing options for cleaning services this autumn.
Why your views matter
Residents were invited to take part in the review of the current services by completing the cleaning services survey online. Their views will help us identify priorities for service improvement and shape the way these services are delivered.
This consultation is now closed. There are other ways to get involved by making a request to join a resident steering group. This is set up to reflect on the current quality of the cleaning service and achieving greater value for money. Alternatively make a request to receive briefings and meeting updates as the review progresses.
