Overview

The Council proposes to construct the type of road humps know as “sinusoidal road humps” at the following locations in Elm Park Gardens (measurements are given from the centre line of the road hump):

  • (i) 1 metre (3ft) south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 110 and 108 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (ii) at the common boundary of Nos. 90 and 93 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (iii) 14 metres (46ft) north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 68 and 74 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (iv) 3 metres (10ft) south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 58 and 62 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (v) 4 metres (13ft) south-east of the northern flank of No. 42 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (vi) 5 metres (16ft) south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 16 and 22 Elm Park Gardens;
  • (vii) 3 metres (10ft) north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 Elm Park Gardens.

[Note: Each “sinusoidal road hump” would be an elevated section of carriageway with a round top, 75mm millimetres higher at its highest point than the surrounding carriageway, varying between approximately 7 metres and 9 metres wide and approximately 3.7 metres in length].

The road humps are being introduced as part of a scheme intended to reduce traffic speeds on the affected roads.
