One-Way System (except Cycles) in Basil Street

Overview

We would like to know your views on the proposed traffic management change to inform our decision-making process and ensure your views are considered.

The Council believes that this proposal would prevent congestion in a narrow section of Basil Street, whilst retaining accessibility for cyclists.

Anyone wishing to support or object to the proposal or make any other representations in respect of it, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to: trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or Traffic Orders, Transportation and Highways, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, quoting reference “Basil Street One-Way” by 21^st October 2026.

All objections and comments will be reported to the Director of Highway and Regulatory Services and the Director will consult with the Lead Member for Transport, Parks, and Clean Streets before deciding on whether or not to proceed with the proposed changes. We will advise you of the decision after the consultation is over and the decision has been taken by the Director.
